Welcome to Chiltern Way Academy Wendover. This is a very special school providing education and care for up to 176 young people with a primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) aged between 11-19.
We are proud to have gained an Outstanding rating from Ofsted in September 2021 and to hold the National Autistic Society Advanced Accreditation.
We aim to ensure that all our children are prepared for the future and have designed and implemented a curriculum to support students to achieve their best possible outcomes. This includes an equal focus on academic potential and life-skills, underpinning this is our core offering to support personal development. Together this offers our students the best chances of leaving us at the age of 16 - 19 to pursue further education, employment or training. We are proud that all our students leave us with a destination they have chosen and feel prepared for.
Chiltern Way Academy has very high expectations of staff and students and we work exceptionally hard with a dedicated and inspiring staff team to provide a learning environment to best meet the students' individual needs. Our staff team go above and beyond every day to ensure that students get the best possible experience. We work in partnership with parents and carers and together we achieve great things for our students.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like to find out more or come and visit, and we look forward to welcoming you to our happy, vibrant school community.
